SUMMER Camp and After School Programs

Old South Meeting House, a museum and National Historic Landmark centrally located on Boston's Freedom Trail, welcomes summer camp and after-school program groups. Come see the hall where the Boston Tea Party began, where Patriots Samuel Adams and James Otis changed the fate of the nation.

All of our summer camp and after school programs offer the opportunity for students to explore the rich history of this 1729 colonial meeting house. Using scavenger hunts, reproduction objects, colonial games or an interactive debate format, students gain a better understanding of life in colonial Boston.

For more information about tour and program options at Old South Meeting House, or to reserve your program today, please contact us by email at education@osmh.org or call (617) 482-6439.

From Meeting Place to Resting Place
If Bostonians from the 18th century were to visit the city today they would see many changes. However, both the Old South Meeting House and the Granary Burying Ground still play an important part in our modern community. At the Old South Meeting House students hunt for clues about the role of a meetinghouse in Boston and the many interesting people and events associated with the building. On their visit to the Granary Burying Ground, students examine and interpret gravestone symbols and see the final resting place of many famous Bostonians.
